Pooftr (Concept)

UAL MA Design for Art Direction; Defining Design for Art Direction Unit, ​February 2021.

Influenced by shanzhai culture practices, Pooftr is a satirical and somewhat comical interpretation of contemporary gay dating and hookup culture.

A blunt critique of problematic app Grindr, Pooftr simultaneously subverts many of its distinctly corporate UX design elements with a radical mode of address and unapologetically homosexual iconography.
